Sponsored slots are pulled from real estate — the homepage, category pages — and are always labeled Sponsored, in the same type size as everything else. What they never touch is the six numbers underneath your profile. Those come from evidence, not from an invoice.

What we’re actually looking for when we evaluate a company for a profile — sponsored or not — is the same thing the Matrix always asks: is there a real, checkable reason this technology changes the state of the art?
