Swiss Post Cybersecurity provides managed detection and response, security operations center (SOC) monitoring, offensive security testing and incident response services across Switzerland and Luxembourg. The company was formed in 2024 when Swiss Post merged two cybersecurity firms it had separately acquired — Hacknowledge, an MDR specialist that had briefly run a U.S. subsidiary out of Newport Beach, California, and terreActive, a longer-established Swiss security consultancy — into a single operating entity. The original Hacknowledge brand, including its U.S. operation, no longer exists as a distinct company; hacknowledge.com now redirects entirely to Swiss Post Cybersecurity’s site.

The combined company runs a 24/7 SOC built around its VISION Cyber Management platform for log, SIEM and sandbox-based threat detection, backed by roughly 150 staff across Aarau, Morges, Zurich and Luxembourg. It holds ISO 27001:2022 certification (audited by SGS) covering its SOC, managed security services and offensive security operations, and it is wholly owned by Swiss Post, Switzerland’s national postal service, which acquired Hacknowledge in 2022 and terreActive in 2023 before combining them.

Because it is a services business rather than a product vendor, its evidentiary track record rests on operational certifications, its published financial-services SOC case study, and the underlying threat-detection tooling it deploys and integrates — not on Swiss Post Cybersecurity’s own technology being independently lab-tested. Its ownership by Switzerland’s state-linked postal group gives it durability and a national-security-adjacent trust position in the Swiss/Luxembourg market that a standalone startup would lack, though it also means growth is shaped by a parent conglomerate whose core business is logistics and mail, not cybersecurity.
