Redinent Innovations, incorporated in 2021 and based in Bengaluru, India, builds security tooling for a category most endpoint and network security products overlook: unmanaged IoT and IIoT devices such as CCTV cameras, industrial sensors, and other embedded systems that cannot run a traditional security agent. Its platform focuses on discovering these devices on a network, assessing their exposure, and applying protective controls without requiring agent installation on hardware that was never designed to support one.

As an early-stage deep-tech company incubated through IIT Patna’s Technology Innovation Hub and backed by DST, Startup India, and the Karnataka government alongside small private investors, Redinent has raised roughly $1.1 million to date — modest by Western startup standards but consistent with an India-focused deep-tech company at this stage. It has built named commercial relationships with Nokia, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), TCIL, GMR, and UAE-based Al-Futtaim, and won recognition including DSCI’s Innovation Box Award and an Outlook Business feature on its IoT security work.

For CISOs and OT/IoT security teams, Redinent’s relevance comes from addressing a genuinely underserved attack surface: unmanaged cameras and embedded devices are a recurring entry point in botnets and lateral-movement incidents precisely because they fall outside conventional endpoint security coverage. Its evidence base rests on named partnerships and government-backed incubation rather than independent penetration-test results, so buyers should validate detection and protection claims against their own device population before wide deployment.
