Prophet Security, founded in 2023 and based in San Francisco, builds an agentic AI platform aimed at security operations centers. Its flagship AI SOC Analyst ingests alerts from existing SIEM, EDR and cloud tools, runs the triage and investigation steps a human analyst would perform, and produces a documented verdict and recommended response. The company has since extended the platform with an AI Threat Hunter module that proactively searches for hidden threats, and an AI Detection Advisor that maps detection coverage and suggests new detection logic, positioning the product as a broader agentic layer that sits on top of an organization’s existing security stack rather than replacing it.

The company has raised a total of roughly $41 million, including an $11 million seed round in April 2024 and a $30 million Series A led by Accel with participation from Bain Capital Ventures in mid-2025, followed by strategic investments from corporate venture arms including Amex Ventures and Citi Ventures. That combination of top-tier venture backing and strategic capital from large financial-services buyers is a reasonable proxy for enterprise interest in agentic SOC automation, though it does not by itself confirm production deployment scale.

Prophet Security operates in a fast-emerging and increasingly crowded category of agentic AI SOC tools competing on the promise of reducing analyst toil and alert fatigue, one of the most persistent operational pain points in security operations. Its differentiation rests on single-tenant deployment, a large library of out-of-the-box integrations, and a design philosophy of transparent, explainable investigation steps rather than an opaque autonomous black box. As with most young entrants in this space, independently verified, third-party benchmark data on detection accuracy and false-positive reduction at scale is not yet publicly available.
