NVISIONx builds a data security posture management (DSPM) platform that discovers where sensitive and regulated data actually lives across cloud, on-premises, and SaaS environments, classifies it, and helps security and privacy teams reduce the resulting risk footprint. The pitch is that most breach and compliance exposure comes from data organizations don’t know they have or have lost track of, so the product focuses on continuous discovery and classification rather than perimeter controls. In 2025 the company launched NxRexAI, adding generative-AI-powered contextual classification intended to improve accuracy over rules- and pattern-based classification alone.

Founded in 2018 by CEO Glen Day and COO Tushar Padhiar, NVISIONx is headquartered in the Los Angeles area (Santa Monica/Playa Vista, California). The company has raised a seed round of roughly $4.6 million led by Companyon Ventures, with participation from Morgan Stanley Next Level Fund, SixThirty Ventures, and others, for total disclosed funding in the $5-6 million range.

DSPM is a genuinely growing category as data sprawl across multi-cloud and SaaS environments continues to outpace manual data-governance processes, but NVISIONx is a small, seed-stage player competing against well-funded DSPM entrants (several backed by $50M+ rounds) as well as data-security modules bundled into larger cloud-security-posture-management and DLP platforms from bigger vendors.
