Kentik

Kentik is a network observability platform that ingests NetFlow, BGP, SNMP, and cloud flow-log data to give network and security teams a unified, real-time view of traffic across on-premises, cloud, and internet infrastructure. It is used for DDoS detection, traffic anomaly analysis, and internet-routing visibility at a scale that legacy NetFlow analyzers were not built to handle.

In August 2026, Kentik was acquired by DNS and DDI vendor Infoblox, in a deal combining Infoblox’s authoritative DNS and IP-address-management data with Kentik’s network-flow observability to power what the companies describe as automated, agentic network operations. As of this writing Kentik continues to operate under its own brand and product line rather than being immediately folded into Infoblox’s platform, though its long-term roadmap now depends on Infoblox’s integration priorities.

Pre-acquisition traction was substantial for an independent network-observability vendor: Kentik raised $118 million across five funding rounds, including a $40 million Series C led by Third Point Ventures, and was adopted by large network operators and enterprises. It competes in network observability against players such as Cisco’s ThousandEyes and broader observability platforms extending into network telemetry, differentiated by purpose-built, internet-scale flow analytics rather than tooling retrofitted from application-performance monitoring.
