IPKeys Technologies

IPKeys Technologies provides cybersecurity, risk management, and analytics services to the U.S. Department of Defense and other federal agencies, centered on its Cyber Lab as a Service (CLaaS) platform. CLaaS automates the documentation, continuous monitoring, and authorization workflows required under NIST’s Risk Management Framework (RMF) — the process federal systems must go through to obtain and maintain an Authority to Operate — using AI-assisted analysis to reduce the substantial manual compliance burden that process normally carries.

Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, IPKeys Technologies was acquired in 2022 by Chickasaw Nation Industries (CNI), a federal contracting company wholly owned by the Chickasaw Nation. The acquisition gave IPKeys access to CNI’s tribally-owned federal contract vehicles while it continued operating under its own name and management, with roughly 250 employees and an active DoD RS3 IDIQ contract running through 2027. Note that a related but now separately owned company, IPKeys Power Partners — which focuses on OT/utility cybersecurity rather than federal IT compliance — was acquired by Parsons Corporation in 2023 for $43 million and has since operated as part of Parsons; the two IPKeys-branded businesses are now under different ownership.

IPKeys’ evidence base looks different from a typical venture-backed security startup: rather than press-covered breach-prevention wins, its strongest signal is a sustained, multi-year federal contract track record, which is common for government-focused cybersecurity contractors that operate with low public visibility. RMF automation addresses a real, persistent compliance pain point for defense contractors, though it is a workflow improvement over manual processes rather than a novel security technology in its own right.
