Infodas

Infodas is a German cyber and information security vendor founded in 1974 and headquartered in Cologne, with roughly 250 employees across offices in Berlin, Bonn, Hamburg, Mainz, and Munich. In March 2024 the company became a wholly owned subsidiary of Airbus, which folded Infodas into its cyber security portfolio while keeping the brand and product line intact and continuing to serve government, defense, and critical-infrastructure customers under its own name.

Infodas’s flagship product family, SDoT (Secure Domain Transition), is a line of hardware cross-domain security gateways that let organizations move data between networks of different classification levels — for example, between a NATO SECRET network and an unclassified one — without the manual air-gap workarounds (sneakernet, one-way transfer devices) that classified environments have historically relied on. The SDoT product family holds accreditation at German SECRET, EU SECRET, and NATO SECRET levels, following multi-year government evaluation processes, and Infodas is also certified by Germany’s BSI as an IT security service provider for auditing, consulting, and penetration testing.

The company’s relevance is narrow but deep: cross-domain solutions are a small, highly specialized category serving government, defense, and intelligence customers who need certified, evaluated products rather than best-effort commercial security tools. Infodas’s decades of BSI and NATO accreditation experience make it one of the more credible vendors in this space, though that same government-and-defense focus means its products have little direct relevance to typical commercial enterprise buyers.
