Gambit Cyber builds KnightGuard, a continuous threat exposure management (CTEM) platform that runs a coordinated set of specialized AI agents — covering threat-intelligence analysis, SOC automation, and remediation playbook generation — to give security teams a running view of which exposures in their environment are genuinely exploitable rather than theoretical.
The company, headquartered in the Netherlands with a subsidiary in India, closed a $3.4 million seed round in December 2025 led by Expeditions with participation from Bitdefender Voyager Ventures, and has reported early deployments with enterprises and managed security service providers in financial services, telecom, and critical infrastructure across India, the UAE, and Europe. In mid-2026 it signed BitCyber as a regional distributor to extend KnightGuard into Singapore, ASEAN, and Hong Kong.
Gambit’s pitch is reducing alert fatigue by having its agents validate exploitability and prioritize remediation automatically, rather than handing security teams another raw list of findings to triage manually.
Innovation Matrix Assessment
Launched an agentic-AI approach to CTEM and expanded internationally (India subsidiary, APAC distribution deal) within roughly a year of founding.
Vendor-described alert-fatigue reduction and exploitability validation would be operationally valuable for SOC teams, if borne out in practice.
A $3.4M seed round and early MSSP/enterprise deployments are real but modest; no named customers or renewal data are public yet.
CTEM is already a crowded category with well-funded players (Picus, Tonic Security, Zafran); Gambit is one of several AI-agent-based entrants rather than a category-definer.
One industry outlet explicitly noted the company has not yet published public case studies or third-party validation of its claims.
Continuous, AI-assisted exposure validation is likely to stay relevant as attack surfaces and alert volumes keep growing.
Why CISOs Should Care
Aims to cut through alert fatigue by validating which exposures are actually exploitable before they reach a SOC queue, rather than adding another raw findings feed.
What Makes It Different
Uses a coordinated fleet of specialized AI agents (threat-intel analysis, SOC automation, remediation playbooks) instead of a single scoring or prioritization engine.
The Matrix Verdict
50/100 — INCREMENTAL INNOVATOR
Incremental Innovator. A credible, well-funded early-stage entrant in an increasingly crowded CTEM field with a promising approach, but without public validation of its results yet.
Editorial Note: Claims vs. Verified Findings
Performance and alert-reduction claims come from company and investor press releases; an industry publication specifically flagged the absence of public case studies or third-party validation.
