Arrakis Security addresses what its founders call the “visibility illusion” in enterprise AI adoption: organizations know AI agents exist inside their environments but lack detail on what those agents are actually doing or whether their behavior complies with policy. Arrakis’s platform discovers AI agents across an organization, builds behavioral profiles for each one, and monitors activity in real time — automatically blocking suspicious actions such as data exfiltration or privilege abuse, revoking permissions, or suspending integrations when needed.
Founded in 2025 and based in Tel Aviv, Arrakis was started by Tal Baron, Omer Efrat, and Ron Shani, veterans of workflow-automation company Torq and data-analytics firm Palantir. The company raised $8 million in seed funding led by Hetz Ventures, with angel participation from ElevenLabs CEO Mati Staniszewski, Torq CEO Ofer Smadari, and Pentera founder and CEO Amitai Ratzon.
Beyond behavioral monitoring, the platform also offers MCP server security, agent red-teaming, and anomaly detection — positioning Arrakis as a governance layer for the growing population of semi-autonomous AI agents operating across SaaS, cloud, and endpoint environments.
Innovation Matrix Assessment
Built a multi-feature agent governance platform (discovery, behavioral monitoring, MCP security, red-teaming) within months of a 2025 founding.
Closing the 'visibility illusion' gap gives security teams concrete insight into what AI agents are actually doing, a real and growing operational need.
An $8M seed with credible named angels (ElevenLabs and Torq CEOs, Pentera's founder) is a solid early signal, though still modest in absolute scale.
Agent behavioral governance is a genuine emerging need but overlaps meaningfully with several other AI-agent security and identity governance startups launching in the same window.
No independent testing, named customer deployments, or incident-prevention evidence is publicly available at this early stage.
As enterprises deploy more autonomous agents across SaaS and cloud systems, behavioral governance and policy enforcement are likely to remain necessary capabilities for years.
Why CISOs Should Care
It gives a CISO an inventory of every AI agent operating in the environment plus a kill switch for the ones that step outside policy.
What Makes It Different
It builds individual behavioral profiles per agent and can automatically revoke access or suspend integrations the moment behavior violates policy.
The Matrix Verdict
53/100 — INCREMENTAL INNOVATOR
Arrakis Security is an Incremental Innovator: a credible founding team from Torq and Palantir with real angel backing from recognized security operators, competing in an increasingly crowded AI-agent governance category still lacking independent proof points.
Editorial Note: Claims vs. Verified Findings
Funding, founders, and investor names are independently corroborated (Calcalist, Dealroom). Platform capability and 'visibility illusion' framing come from company materials and have not been independently tested.
