Overview

Asymptote Labs builds Beacon, an open-source (MIT) telemetry layer that configures AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex CLI and Cursor to export activity, then writes a normalized JSON log of what each agent does. A local dashboard reads the log and data can be forwarded to customer-managed SIEMs.

Beacon runs locally without an account. Asymptote’s CEO is Justin D’Souza, and SecurityWeek reported a $5.5M seed on October 21, 2026 led by Tower Research Ventures, though this could not be independently confirmed here.

The Matrix Verdict

50/100 — INCREMENTAL INNOVATOR

Asymptote Labs is an Incremental Innovator at a very early stage. The approach is timely but evidence is minimal.
