8Layers provides a digital identity protection platform combining Identity Security Posture Management (ISPM), Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR), and automated compliance mapping to European regulatory frameworks. The platform connects via API to identity providers such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace and AWS IAM, inventories human, service-account, API and AI identities across cloud services, and correlates behavior across sources to generate a risk score per identity.
Founded in 2024 in Madrid by Daniel García Morán, Pedro Palao, Pablo Carretero and Iago Salgado — three of whom were part of the founding team of Devo, a Spanish cybersecurity unicorn — 8Layers became commercially available in May 2026. The company closed a €1.5 million pre-seed round in 2025 and extended it with an additional €1 million in July 2026, bringing total funding to €2.5 million (~$2.9M), led by JME Ventures with participation from Criteria Venture Tech, Bankinter, Lanai Ventures, Draper B1 and Secways.
