Overview

Capsule Security addresses what it calls the runtime gap in AI agent security: the window between when an agent receives a prompt and when it executes an action, during which it can be manipulated into exfiltrating data or taking unauthorized steps. The platform monitors agent behavior in real time and enforces guardrails immediately before execution, without requiring a proxy or software development kit, across environments including Cursor, Claude Code, Microsoft Copilot Studio, ServiceNow, and Salesforce Agentforce.

Founded in 2025 and based in Israel, Capsule was built by CEO Naor Paz, formerly of F5 and Israel’s Unit 8200, and CTO Lidan Hazout, formerly of Securedtouch and Transmit Security. The company emerged from stealth in April 2026 with a $7 million seed round led by Lama Partners, with participation from Forgepoint Capital.

Capsule’s pitch to enterprises is that agent behavior needs to be governed at the moment of action rather than only observed after the fact through logs — positioning the company alongside a wave of AI-agent runtime-security startups responding to rapid, largely ungoverned agent deployment inside enterprises.

Innovation Matrix Assessment

Innovation Velocity 6/10

Shipped runtime guardrails with support for multiple major agent platforms (Cursor, Copilot Studio, Agentforce) within months of founding.

Operational Value 6/10

Gives security teams a control point at the moment an agent acts, addressing a real, largely ungoverned operational gap in fast-growing agent deployments.

Market Momentum 5/10

A $7M seed from Lama Partners and Forgepoint is a reasonable but modest early signal for a company only months out of stealth.

Category Disruption 5/10

Runtime agent guardrails are a genuine new need, but Capsule competes in an increasingly crowded field of similarly positioned AI-agent runtime-security startups.

Real-World Efficacy 3/10

No independent testing or named customer breach-prevention evidence is publicly available; the no-proxy/no-SDK integration claims are vendor-stated.

Enduring Relevance 7/10

As enterprises hand agents more autonomy across coding and business tools, runtime behavioral control is likely to stay relevant for years to come.

Why CISOs Should Care

It lets a CISO stop a risky agent action before it happens, rather than discovering the damage in logs afterward.

What Makes It Different

It enforces guardrails at the point of action with no proxy or SDK required, working directly across tools like Cursor and Salesforce Agentforce.

The Matrix Verdict

53/100 — INCREMENTAL INNOVATOR

Capsule Security is an Incremental Innovator: a credible founding team and real technical focus on the runtime action gap, in a category that is still early and crowded enough that differentiation isn't yet proven.

Editorial Note: Claims vs. Verified Findings

Funding, founders, and investor names are corroborated across SecurityWeek, VentureBeat, and SiliconANGLE. Claims about runtime guardrail efficacy and integration breadth are vendor-sourced.
