Allentis

Allentis designs network monitoring and secure network architecture products for IT and industrial (OT) environments, best known for its Tapics line of network TAPs and analysis probes used for traffic replication, capture, and cybersecurity threat detection. Its products carry qualification from ANSSI, the French national cybersecurity agency, a concrete certification bar that most network visibility vendors serving this market do not hold. Customers span public institutions and government departments alongside critical industries including energy, defense, space, and transport.

Founded in 2011 by a team of networking engineers with over two decades of prior experience, Allentis is headquartered in Paris with a second office in Tours. In late 2024, nuclear engineering firm Framatome (majority owned by EDF) announced its acquisition of Allentis, aiming to expand its own cybersecurity offering for nuclear and other critical-infrastructure operators. Allentis continues to operate its ANSSI-qualified product line under its own brand following the acquisition.

Allentis is a niche but credible network visibility and security vendor whose government certification and blue-chip critical-infrastructure customer base give it real standing in a narrow segment. Its acquisition by Framatome brings capital and distribution into the nuclear sector, though it also means Allentis’s future trajectory is now set within a much larger industrial parent rather than as an independent company.
