Labris Networks

Labris Networks builds Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliances, next-generation firewalls, and DDoS mitigation hardware, with an R&D-driven product line it has developed in-house since 2002. The company shipped Turkey’s first domestically developed UTM product in 2005 and has continued building out gateway security and centralized management systems aimed at government, telecommunications, defense, e-commerce, and gaming customers primarily across Turkey, the Middle East, North Africa, the Caucasus, and Southeast Asia.

Labris holds Common Criteria EAL4+ certification, putting it among a relatively small group of UTM/gateway vendors worldwide with that internationally recognized security evaluation. It has also achieved Turkey’s domestic TR-Test Firewall A-Level certification, making it the first vendor in its category to do so — a distinction that matters specifically for government and defense procurement in Turkey, where domestic certification and data-sovereignty requirements increasingly shape vendor selection independent of a product’s technical merits elsewhere.

Based in Ankara and privately held, Labris operates as an established regional player rather than a venture-backed disruptor: it is not chasing the AI-driven repositioning common among newer entrants in network security, but instead has built durable relationships with government and defense buyers through certification and localization. That focus is a real strength in its home region and adjacent markets, but it also means Labris has limited visibility, English-language case studies, or independent evaluation outside of Turkey and its immediate trade partners.
