Nexusguard

Nexusguard provides DDoS mitigation for networks, web applications, and DNS infrastructure, built around a global network of scrubbing centers and its proprietary Bastions technology. Rather than selling primarily to enterprises directly, a meaningful part of its business is wholesale: it white-labels DDoS protection for communications service providers, ISPs, and data center operators, who then resell mitigation capacity to their own downstream customers. That CSP-focused, multi-tenant model is a somewhat different go-to-market than consumer-facing DDoS vendors like Cloudflare, positioning Nexusguard more as infrastructure for other providers’ security offerings.

Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Hong Kong, Nexusguard reports more than 2.24 Tbps of aggregate mitigation capacity across its scrubbing-center network and claims relationships with more than 100 communications service providers protecting over 50,000 Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs). Investment from Sun Venture has supported the company’s infrastructure buildout, though detailed funding disclosures are not public.

For CISOs at telecoms, hosting providers, and gaming/finance companies facing volumetric attack risk, Nexusguard’s relevance is its scrubbing-center scale and its on-premises option for organizations with strict data-sovereignty or latency requirements that rule out fully cloud-based DDoS mitigation. Independent, head-to-head mitigation-capacity benchmarks against larger competitors such as Cloudflare, Akamai, and Radware are not publicly available, so buyers should weight Nexusguard’s reported capacity figures as vendor-stated until validated in their own testing.
